It’s Spring and I’m still making Winter clothes…

On the first day of Spring, we were greeted with a little bit of snow in New York City… It was a surprise because it started as I was walking to the bus stop in the morning and I was thinking to myself that it couldn’t be snow… Anyway, we’ve had some warmer days since then but it’ll be once again below freezing tonight.

In a way it’s good news to me since I just managed to finish yet another Nasta dress (Ottobre 04-2008-03 Nasta Pinafore Dress). I know, I know… The last one was supposed to be the last one, but I cut this one at the same time that I did the last one. (Yes, it took that long for me to finish.) This one is made with a very comfy pink velour. Yes, it’s that pastel pink I try to avoid, but I do like the pattern… It’s something I purchased a long time ago from a fabric co-op. I used a deep red cotton rib knit for the binding. The pictures show it as brighter than it really is. I think I cut out 2 pieces of the front so it looks weird and from the picture you can’t even see the snaps.
